Chapman Primary School's Arts program encapsulates the full breadth of The Arts including Music, Dance, Drama, Media and Visual Arts.
Students have the opportunity to express themselves through the creation, rehearsal and performance of Drama pieces.
In Dance, students use their body to communicate and express meaning. This includes the use of the online resource " Every Chance to Dance".
Along with class singing sessions, we have dedicated Music specialist teachers. The Music curriculum builds on students understanding of musicality including notation, beat and timing. At Chapman Primary School our Music program includes:
- Senior and junior choirs
- Recorder program (Years 1 and 2)
- Ukulele (Years 3 and 4)
- Bucket Band (Years 5 and 6)
- Year 5 Band
- Year 6 Band
In Visual Arts, students develop practical skills and critical thinking which inform their work as artists.
